Diversity and Inclusion: An AI Formula for HR Success
Protecting Privacy in Global Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives - because black work matters. It's a paradoxon: Big Data, Data Monitoring and Profiling generally are considered critically under the title of discrimination ? today, ethnical monitoring and analysis are implemented to approve diversity and equality - for example in the employment context. This contribution is evaluating these tension and challenges. Diving into the field of diversity and inclusion does not only mean to understand that Diversity is a key driver of innovation and is a critical component of being successful on a global scale and that a diverse and inclusive workforce is crucial for companies that want to attract and retain top talent. It is also important to understand the technical possibilities to achieve this goal (Applications based on AI) and in the same time to be compliant. Compliance in this case means to be ahead of the privacy regulations in scope concerning data processing activities involving diversity data such as religion, gender, sexual orientation or ethnical background. This session will give the audience insights in several topics, such as: AI technologies, GDPR compliance in regards to AI technologies and the processing of Art. 9 data (legal basis, transparency, PbD etc.) and the human rights. As the contribution is dedicated to the correlation of data protection and diversity, it overcomes the traditional way of presentations. In a symbolic way the contribution is shaped in an innovative and diverse form. A very diverse set up of speakers presents a discourse in a theater set up to explain legal risks and opportunities in diversity programs.
